Use the Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Brush to remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld burn, rust, heavy oxides and surface contaminants caused by dissimilar metals. The brushes use our own 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain blend of aluminum oxide with molded, flexible yet tough bristles that provide greater surface contact than wire brushes. We designed these brushes to last longer than wire and other disc sanders. The abrasive remains constant throughout the life of the product and performs well on a wide variety of metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel and more. Ceramic Abrasive Grain is a ceramic mineral manufactured using the 3M process to increase the strength and hardness of the mineral. Scotch-Brite hard discs use aluminum oxide mixed with a ceramic abrasive grain. The result is one of the hardest, longest-lasting minerals on the market. Ideal for heavy stock removal. The combination of abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that provides uniform results throughout the life of the product. The open web material operates without heating and is load-resistant, limiting the filling of the nylon fibers and allowing the abrasive minerals to continue to cut at high performance.
