The toughest and longest-lasting product in the EXL family, our wheels are designed to provide superior durability and edge retention to tackle tough burrs and sharp edges on all types of metals, composites and glass. The helical structure and special resin system used in manufacturing our wheels rotate more accurately and consistently, while the minerals it continuously exposes complete the abrasive work. The hardness, edge retention and consistent cut of the wheel help resist “clumping”, keeping the wheel turning accurately. The smooth rotation and fast cutting cut help reduce operator fatigue, while the hardness and mineral exposure of the wheel deliver long life and consistent finishes. Our Deburring Wheels are loaded with fine silicon carbide abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide, which has a high sharpness, is a synthetic mineral frequently used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. It breaks faster than aluminum oxide but provides a superior finish. Scotch-Brite products are unique surface preparation products that have abrasives combined with non-woven nylon fibers. The combination of abrasives with the fibers creates an abrasive system that provides uniform results throughout the life of the product. We chose to use an open-web material that is resistant to load and limits the filling of the nylon fibers, allowing the abrasive minerals to continue to cut at high performance.
