The flexible bristles stay securely in place under normal use and produce the desired finish when light pressure is applied. These discs contain no wire filament for increased reliability. These discs feature 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, a ceramic mineral engineered with a process that increases the toughness and hardness of the mineral to deliver a high level of performance. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is designed to break frequently and outperform aluminum oxide abrasives in both cut speed and durability. Perfect for medium to heavy stock removal and finishing, ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and withstand intense heat and stress applications. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface preparation products that feature abrasives bonded to a non-woven fiber template. The combination of abrasives and nonwovens means an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open web material operates without heating and is load-resistant, limiting the clogging of the nylon fibers and allowing the abrasive minerals to continue cutting at high performance.
