Use Scotch-Brite™ Low Stretch Surface Preparation Tape for cleaning, finishing and light deburring. Ideal for use on contoured and irregular surfaces, our tapes deliver effective cutting performance without damaging surfaces. The tapes perform best on steel, stainless steel, carbon, titanium and nickel alloys, and are also suitable for use on soft non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper and brass. Available in a variety of styles designed to suit a wide range of applications. Scotch-Brite Low Stretch Surface Preparation Tape is designed with aluminum oxide and silicon carbide minerals. It is available in a variety of combinations including: aluminum oxide medium (A MED), aluminum oxide very fine (A VFN), aluminum oxide coarse (A CRS), silicon carbide medium (S MED), silicon carbide super fine (S SFN) and silicon carbide very fine (S VFN). Aluminum oxide cuts softer but lasts longer than silicon carbide. It is ideal for use on soft metals or where engraving or undercutting is a priority and soft scoring is desired. Silicon carbide is a good choice for a coarser, more aggressive cut. Our finer grits provide a finer finish, while medium or coarse grits provide a coarser finish. Our belts are designed for use in applications where a standard web belt will not machine or where less conformability is desired. They are resistant to abrasion and sharp edges and are useful in a variety of industries from transportation to metal fabrication. Choose from a variety of belt types, from machine-grade to narrow, portable to pump-sleeved to thick and flat. When selecting a belt, consider the tooling, surface area, contour and dimensions of the workpiece. Narrow belts are typically used in bench or back-of-the-bench applications. Pump sleeves are used to finish large tools that cannot be transported by fitting them on grooved wheels. Open-web Scotch-Brite industrial abrasive offers a number of unique advantages. Nonwoven technology is comprised of fiber yarn, resin and abrasive that form a thick, open web. The spring-like fibers conform to contours, effectively removing unwanted dross, dirt and contaminants while preserving the geometric structure of the workpiece. The result is less rework and higher productivity. The space in the web allows swarf to escape so minerals do not become clogged with debris. The fibers in the web continually break down with use, releasing new mineral, providing exceptional consistency and superior cutting performance, as well as an extremely long service life. Scotch-Brite products are designed to increase productivity and make work easier. Get faster, more consistent results in a variety of operations, from aesthetic finishing to weld blending to deburring.
