Use 3M™ Cubitron™ II 947A Cloth Tape to achieve impressive results in a variety of applications including high pressure, automatic grinding, low to medium pressure handheld, back-of-the-bench equipment work, belt sanders, wheel sanders and impact sanders. Our 947A tapes feature Precision Shaped Mineral on an X-weight polyester cotton backing. Precision Shaped Mineral is shaped like a triangular dot that cuts through metal rather than gouging or scraping it like traditional abrasives. These dots continually sharpen themselves as they break, providing an extremely fast cut with less heat build-up. This reduces heat stress cracking and discoloration. The abrasive produces a uniform finish over its life and helps eliminate burn-on in end-grain sanding applications.
