For consistent finishes on hard metals like carbon and stainless steel, use 3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Tape 237AA, which has fast-cutting aluminum oxide. Our belts feature proprietary 3M micro-replication technology, where micron-grade aluminum oxide particles are formed into small pyramids of abrasive mineral and then coated onto an X-weight cloth backing. These pyramid-shaped structures periodically fracture under moderate pressure to expose new, sharp mineral, resulting in a consistent cut and a predictable finish. The durable backing of 237AA cloth belts helps provide control, conformability and efficient medium-pressure grinding. The resin-bonded abrasive provides increased heat resistance and helps prevent separation. Consistent performance is achieved with three-dimensional pyramid-shaped structures evenly distributed across the entire surface of the abrasive. These “pyramids” contain layers of minerals that break down after repeated use, continually exposing new minerals. The abrasive maintains its sharpness through a cycle of mineral renewal. These belts use film yarn as a spacer, providing a strong bond and eliminating deep marks by joining the two ends of the belt with a film-bonded spacer. This keeps the belt running smoothly and delivers consistent finishing results. Compared to traditional abrasive products, our Trizact abrasives produce a fine finish, achieve results in less time and last up to five times longer. They offer precise finishing control, allowing the user to shorten the grit sequence and consequently use fewer steps and abrasive products.
